Roberts, who had an on-off relationship with sociable Hawk

Josh Gibson on frequent visits to Oz, hooked up last week with Sydney Roosters halfback Mitchell Pearce.

The romance is the talk of rugby league circles and Pearce has been copping a ribbing from his teammates.

‘‘We had a drink and she was cool,’’ he told the Daily Telegraph’s Christian Nicolussi.

‘‘The boys have been playing the Pussycat Dolls all week.’’

Roberts, 30, admitted the hookup with 23-year-old Pearce on Sydney radio.

‘‘I’m a single girl having a bit of fun,’’ she said. ‘‘Yes, I think his name was Mitch.’’

SO the throbbing, beating heart of fashion week, Bar 100, was definitely going off on Wednesday night for Grazia and Madison’s fashion week party.
Reaching capacity crowds in a nanosecond, it was an event where fashion designers could rub shoulders with models, fashionistas and celebrities. Hosted by magazine editors — Grazia’s Kellie Hush and Madison’s Lizzie Renkert — former Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts sang one of her own original songs, rock’n’roll royalette Alexandra Richards deejayed and Jodi Gordon and Nikki Phillips shone. Model of the moment, Kate Peck, was in the mood to party and mingled with some of her favourite designers including Toni Maticevski and Bowie Wong. With the crowd building and no shortage of delicious cocktails being mixed, many of those present found it hard to tear themselves away from the party to go to the evening shows. In fact, just for a few hours it seemed as though the true energy of the original Bar Bazaar from those early days of fashion week, was briefly revisited.

Ashley Roberts hit the big time as part of the burlesque inspired group The Pussycat Dolls. Now Ashley is pursuing her own music career and is in Australia casting her eye over local looks at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.
